Eugene Monk

On Sunday, July 15, 2018, Mr. Eugene Monk, 76 years of age departed this earthly life at High Point Regional Hospital to begin a Heavenly life with eternal peace.

He was born on December 23, 1941 in Marlboro County, SC to the late George and Thelma Monk. Eugene Monk attended Marlboro County schools.

He was formerly employed with Hendrix Batting and later retired from Guilford Packing.  After retirement, Eugene became a Crossing Guard for Guildford County Schools.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was also preceded in death by three sons, Barry Williamson, Terry Williamson, Stevie Williams; one grandson, Gerald Williamson; two brothers, George Monk and Ernest Monk; a great grandson Rayshawn Williamson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of over 60 years, Lucy Faye Monk of the home; four children, Barbara Williamson of High Point, NC, Donna Williamson of Lexington, NC, Herbert Williamson and Wendell Williamson of the home; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; one sister, Maejulia Jackson and a brother, John Monk both of High Point, NC;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who were connected to him in their own special way.
