Mrs. Eloise Riley was born on December 7, 1930, in High Point, North Carolina, to the late Clarence and Mattie Garvin. She was raised and educated in High Point, where she developed strong roots and lifelong connections within her community.
Eloise was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband, Charles Riley; her son, Thomas Riley; and her five siblings: Wilbur Garvin, Bobby Garvin, Eckert Garvin, Horace Garvin, and her sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her only living brother, Leroy Garvin, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She leaves to cherish her memory and loving daughter, Valda Riley Duncan (Frederick Alonzo) McDonough, of Georgia and son Christopher Riley (Von Staples) of High Point, North Carolina. Eloise was a proud and devoted grandmother to Chloe Snow (Jeremy Snow) of Hampton, Georgia; Alonzo Duncan and Kwamir Duncan of McDonough, Georgia; Jamie Riley (Sherry Riley) and Brandon Riley of High Point, North Carolina. Germal Brown of South Carolina.
Christopher and Dakota of Sedalia, North Carolina; and Angela and Timothy. Kwanzaa Jackson, Chrissy Quick, and Jasmine Riley of High Point, North Carolina.
She was further blessed with great-grandchildren: Milan Snow, Sage Riley, Niyla Jackson, Annieaz Quick, Aralynn Quick, Cevyn Reign, and Jalen Riley, all of whom brought her immense joy.
Eloise also leaves behind her dear daughter-in-law, Lola Riley of High Point, North Carolina, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
Her legacy of family, faith, and love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
