Elizabeth Douglas Smith, "Liz," age 65, formerly of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. She was born July 3, 1950, in Marlboro County, SC to the late Willie and Annie Lousie Graham Douglas. She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, DC.

Liz was married to James Smith. Liz was employed with navy Federal Bank in Washington, DC. Shre retired after 30 years of service, James and Liz relocated to High Point, NC and joined Greater new Jope Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; one brother, Freddy Douglas and a sister, Francine Douglas.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her four sons, Marcus Herbert, Darrell McLean and Steve McArthur, three daughters, Senthia Haythe, Annie Threat and Tammie McArthur: three sisters, Willie Ann McCollum, Norma (Herman) Rollerson and Lucy Douglas McCall: two brothers, Thoms (Betty) Dougls and Kirk Douglas: six grandchildren, Marquis Zeigler, Myeisha Jackson, Samiyah Zeigler, Cortez Herbert Jr., Lynaya Smith and Diamond Reid, numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
