Eliga Magok Joseph Majak

Elijah Tong Joseph Majak, age 30, was born on February 18, 1996, in Nairobi, Kenya, and passed away on March 7, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tong’s life, though far too short, was full of love, purpose, and the kind of energy that left a lasting mark on everyone he met. He poured his heart into the people he cared about, showed up for those he loved, and lived with a passion and determination that could be felt by all around him.

Tong was the beloved son of Joseph Majak Acouth and Aman Kon Deng He was a cherished brother to Monica Joseph Majak, William Joseph Majak, Sarah Joseph Majak, Zack Joseph Majak, Nuna Joseph Majak, Mixa Abass, and Kafi Abass. He was also a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, Aliyah Hines, Steven Tamba III, Messiah Davis and Xavier Davis who brought him so much joy and laughter. He treasured every moment spent with them.

Tong’s love for baseball started when he was just a kid, out on the field playing little league, where his passion for the game first came to life. As he grew, so did his love for sports. During his time at Dudley High School, he discovered a deep passion for football while continuing to sharpen his baseball skills, forming strong bonds and lifelong friendships along the way. Those years were filled with moments he truly cherished on and off the field. He later carried that same passion and dedication with him to Louisburg College, where he proudly continued playing baseball.

More than anything, Tong will be remembered for the kind of person he was. He had a warm smile, a generous heart, and a presence that made people feel welcome and valued. He loved deeply, laughed often, and had a way of bringing people together. His strength, resilience, and love for his family will never be forgotten.

Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, strength, and unity will carry on through his family and everyone whose life he touched.
