Dorothy Cox

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Rosebud Cox “Mae”, daughter of the late John and Jessie Rosebud was born April 22, 1942 in Lamar, South Carolina.

She was united in holy matrimony to Harvey Lester Cox, on July 2 of 1960. This union was blessed with five children. Harvey preceded her in death on June 25, 2007.

As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Monday, May 1, 2017 at home in High Point, North Carolina.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Fannie Mae Cox Tillman (Steven), Horace Lester Cox, John Terry Cox, Steven Lester Cox, James Thomas Cox, eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Prentice Clark, Elige “Buck” and Catherine Cox; sister-in-law, Nana Ruth Dunlap, Eliza Coxe, Emma Yvonne Rosebud, Carolyn Rosebud; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
