Doris Robinson left this world on April 27, 2026, at the age of 77. Doris passed away after a courageous fight with heart and kidney disease. Doris was born on November 9, 1948, in Hamlet, North Carolina, to the Late Edmond and Gladys Robinson Jr., who were affectionately known as Mr. and Mrs. Stringbean from New Orleans. Doris's secondary education was at William Penn Senior High School in High Point, North Carolina, where she showcased her musical talents in the marching band as a clarinet player. After moving to Roanoke, Virginia, Doris completed her high school education at Lucy B. Addison Senior High School in 1967. 

She pursued higher education at Winston Salem State University, initially studying Nursing before finding her true calling in General Accounting at Guilford Technical Community College, from which she graduated with an associate's degree in accounting. Doris's professional career began as a nurse’s assistant, first at Burrell Memorial Hospital in Roanoke Va. and later at High Point Memorial Hospital. In 1981, she transitioned into accounting at LADD Furniture, dedicating over 18 years to her role. Her skills and dedication led her to serve as Financial Controller for 3yrs at Lincoln-Gerard USA. Around 2000, she embraced a new chapter as a salesclerk at Belk Department Store, where she worked for over 17 years until her retirement. Doris was a dedicated member of the First Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 60 years, until her health declined. Doris served her church as Church Clerk, Financial Secretary, and Pastor's Aide President. She was member of various choirs in the community; The Caravans, Joy Bells, FEBC Young Adult Choir, Voices of Unity, and the LWBC Women's Community Choir. 

She was also passionate about mentoring youth, instilling in them the values she held dear. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and she cherished every moment spent with them. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Edmond and Gladys Robinson, and her brothers, Edward Thomas Robinson and Curtis Robinson, her nephews, James Leroy Super Jr and Greggory Emmanuel Burgess. 

Her legacy lives on through her son, Rev. Kenneth (Tracey) Robinson; her grandchildren, Johnathan Tyler Autry Sr., Dylan Jermaine Autry, Madison Renee Autry, Kennedy Marie Robinson, and London Evon Robinson, her siblings; Edmond Creola Robinson III, Harvey (Helen) Little, Gladys Evon Robinson; her nieces & nephews, Mel Mar Kanu, Steve Palmer, Tammy Super, Rod McCoy, Theresa Vance Patterson, Debbie McCoy, Paul Elliot Robinson, B. Rayvon Robinson I, Roman Lee Cole III, Armani Super, Serenity Super, Asante Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Rossi Robinson, B. Rayvon Robinson II, Bryce Adorian Robinson, Kirsten Robinson her Close Friends, Ella Lawson, Carol Leake, Shirley T Petty, Celestine Lindsey and Donna Johnson,

Along with a host of extended family, and friends.
