Dennis Steven Wright Jr., transitioned on Sunday, December 23, 2018, WFBMC in Winston Salem. Dennis Steven Jr. was born in High Point, NC to Dennis Wright, Sr., and Annie Brown Wright on November 19, 1983. born and raised into a musical and talented family, he had the love for musical instruments and loved to sing at the age of four years old.
He graduated from High Point Central High School and later attended college majoring in entertainment.
"Jaylis," as he was affectionately called by many started out singing in the children choir at Living Water Baptist Church, he later started his own rap group, "Street Money Go Gettas,"
Jaylis was a rapper, singer, and writer with great songs such as "Dreams" and "Street Money Go-Gettas". After establishing his well-deserved music career, he began traveling throughout the country performing with many other talented artists.
Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delton Wright and Clara Johnson Wright and maternal grandfather, Ulyess Doug Brown.
Jaylis was a great father, son, brother and friend, he had a love for people, he was courageous and kind, he sorely will be missed.
He will be missed and always loved by his wife Melonie S. Wright; his children, Samyrra Wright, Steven “Lil Steven” Wright and stepchild, Malaya Jordan; his father, Dennis (Trevonda) Wright Sr., mother, Annie Wright; his sisters whom he adored, Pamela Wright, Vivian Wright, Yolanda Wright, a brother also his best friend, Timothy Wright, maternal grandmother, Geneva Brown; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew, uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends.
