David "Pete" Ledbetter

David Edison Ledbetter, known as “Pete” was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home.

Pete was born on October 26, 1959, in Richmond County, NC to James D. “JD” Ledbetter and Betty Jean Calloway Ledbetter.

Pete was very smart and a well-educated person.  He received his GED, and he furthered his education at Southern Community College.  He received a certification in plumbing.

His former employers were Alma Desk, Slane Hosiery Mills and The City of High Point.  Pete was known for his bold laugh, and he enjoyed being the center of attention.  He would call everyone, “Catfish.”  He will truly be missed.

Pete was preceded in death by his father, JD Ledbetter and his brother, Kelvin Ledbetter.

He leaves fond memories to: his mother, Betty Ledbetter; three children, Satrina Little, Sylvia Ledbetter, and Blake Gannaway; one sister, Rita Ledbetter; five grandchildren; Danielle, Brandon, Daniel, Michael and De’Marion; two nieces, Nikia and NaTasha; great niece and nephew, Ny and Ty; a host of other family and friends.
