Collie Davenport

Mr. Collie Davenport, “Man Davenport,” age 81 of High Point, NC passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point.   He was born to Josh and Violet Little Davenport on June 9, 1935.

“Man Davenport,” as he was called enjoyed watching baseball and telling jokes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Davenport; One son, Keith Davenport; one brother, Vernell Pemberton; two sisters, Mary Medley and Ollie Belle Pemberton

Those left to cherish his memories includes his son, Ronnie (Jannell) Davenport of Jamestown NC; Two grandchildren Larun Timmon of Greensboro NC and Jada Dunlap of High Point, NC; Six great grand grandchildren; One brother Josh Davenport of Plainfield NJ; Two Sisters Janie Everett of Virginia Beach VA and Betty Margie Pemberton High Point NC; One brother in law, Wade (Betty) Legrande of Fayetteville NC; One Sister law Nanie Legrande of Mt Gilead NC; A special friend Roethel Pemberton of High Point, NC; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted at 12:30pm Saturday Oct 1,2016 at Living Waters Baptist Church. Family will Receive friends from 12:00pm until 12:30pm at the church and other times at the home.
