Remembering the Beautiful Life of Chastey Adams
Chastey Qua'Shan Adams, was born on June 29, 1990 to Chauncey Watson Adams and Martin Adams in High Point, NC. On October 16, 2025, at Atrium Health University City in Charlotte, NC she gained her wings and transitioned to be with the Lord. Chastey, affectionately known as "Chat”, was truly one of a kind. Her bold spirit, radiant energy and unforgettable laughter lit up every room she entered. She was a beloved daughter, devoted mother, supportive sister, fiancée, and a loyal friend whose heart was too big for words.
A proud graduate of Dudley High School, Chastey had a deep passion for children and a natural gift for inspiring others. She dedicated herself to Early Childhood Education, faithfully serving in the school system and nurturing young lives. Her creativity also shined through her work as a nail technician, where she brought beauty and confidence to everyone she touched.
At the time of her passing, Chastey was a member of Mt. Moriah Community Church – Asheboro. Above all, Chastey was a loving mother to her two daughters, Destini and Journei. They were her world, and she poured her love, strength, and wisdom into them every day. Her parenting was filled with encouragement, humor, and unwavering support.
She shared a beautiful bond with her life partner, Jeremy Floyd, whose love and support were constant in her life. Together, they created joyful memories and a love that radiated to everyone around them. Chastey believed in people, even when they didn’t believe in themselves. Whether it was her daughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, or friends, she encouraged everyone to reach their fullest potential. She carried herself with grace, always respectful, yet full of humor and wit. Her presence was always felt, her advice comforting, and her loyalty unmatched.
Family was her foundation. She loved deeply and lived selflessly, always putting others first. Her siblings meant the world to her—especially her “big-headed” younger sister, Carrie, whom she treated more like a daughter than a sibling.
Chastey was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and very special Uncle Alexander Watson, Jr. To know Chastey was to love her. Her joy, strength, and love will continue to live through all who were blessed to know her. She leaves to cherish her memory her precious daughters Destini and Journei, life partner, Jeremy Floyd, parents Chauncey Watson and Martin (Gardenia) Adams, siblings: Javier (Mayona) Adams, Tarmari Adams, Carrie Watson, Byron Adams, Gardenia Adams, LaToya Terry, Barbra (Andrew) Lemon, Halo Watson, Kevin Jenkins, and
Kelvin Grice Jr, Grandparents Alexander Sr, and Juanita Watson, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special cousins and countless friends who loved her deeply. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy continues in every life she touched and every heart that carries her light. Rest peacefully, Qua’Shan. Your light will never fade.
