Betty Burris

MS. BETTY JEAN JOHNSON BURRIS, age 76, departed this earthly life on February 8, 2025. She was born on February 4,

1949, in Scotland County, NC, to the late Marion Johnson and Geneva Quick Johnson. Betty graduated from Carver High School in Laurel Hill, NC.

Betty lived in Charlotte, NC for over 40 years and attended church faithfully. She worked as a housekeeper for many years.

Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Sherman Johnson.

She is survived by her siblings: Marie Johnson, Genova McKenzie, Helen Staton, Ann Broadie, Sarah Walden, Roy Johnson, Linda (Roy) Johnson,

 Shirley Rogers and Grace Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
