Bernice Rogers

Mrs. Bernice Cooper Rogers, age 94, departed this earthly life peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her residence.  She was born January 16, 1924 to the late Carrie McBride Williams in Gibson, NC.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church and served actively until her health declined.  She had an instinctive relationship with anyone she met.  She enjoyed planting, the love for flowers and fishing.

Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by her husband, James Willie Cooper; one son, Paul Dwayne Cooper; two daughters, Edith Cooper and Barbara Carol Cooper.

She will be missed and will leave cherished memories to: two daughters, Carrie (Richard) Nixon and Dorothy Ganzy of High Point, NC; three sons, Willie (Mattie) Cooper of High Point, NC, Jerry Cooper of the home and Tommy Cooper of Gibson, NC; a host of grandchildren; great and great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
