Just nearly 7 weeks after coming into this world, Dylan Joshua Hamilton passed away at home while sleeping beside his mom. During this brief time, Dylan touched many lives and was loved by all who met him. Born on November 20, 2020, and weighing 5 lbs 14 oz, Dylan was able to sit up and express his emotions if he became cranky. His mother would respond to him by playing soft music to calm him down. Dylan had a wisp of dark hair with a hairline from both sides of his family. He was a good eater; when he was hungry you had to feed him because he would push the pacifier out of his mouth. He was strong and could un-swaddle his hands. He was also able to grip his mother’s finger and would demand her undivided attention, preventing her from doing anything else.Dylan joins his grandmothers, Ruth Baskin and Norma Hamilton, and great-grandparents, Ruthie Mae Harrington and June Bostic, Josh and Eloise Baskin, John and Lucille Hamilton in heaven. He is survived by: his parents, Latoya Nichole Baskin and Dennis Juwan Hamilton, both of High Point, NC; his siblings, Javeon Jordan, Davieon Hamilton and Karleigh Hamilton; grandfathers, Josh Baskin Jr. and Dennis Morgan; aunts, Brittany Morgan and Renika Hamilton; uncles, Hank Hamilton, Darell Harrington, Larry Dewitt, and Micheal (Mechon) McKever; godparents, Jasmine and Dennisha Martin; Junior god-parent, Taraji Smith; and a host of cousins.
