Ayendai Evans

March 14, 1989 — October 25, 2017

Ayendai K. Evans, son of Gloria Michelle Evans-Little & Andrew Hailey, was born on March 14, 1989 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. He peacefully departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his residence in High Point, North Carolina.

Yen graduated from High Point Central in 2007, and furthered his education at Guilford Technical Community College, completing his studies, becoming a CNA. Ayedndai was employed with Guilford County Schools as a Teacher Assistant and tirelessly in the transportation service for ten years.   He also worked as part time with Family First Home Care, McDonald’s, and Carrie’s Tax Service.

Ayendai could always be found working hard, helping others, handling business and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. Among the many things that made Yen the man that he was, he loved cooking, singing, shopping for shoes and attending church.  Ayendai accepted Christ early in life and became a member of Living Water Baptist Church for many years.  He was also a member of High Point Deliverance Center under the leadership of Apostle Frank Smith for a number of years.   Yen was very active and served faithfully in both ministries, as a choir director, van driver, pastors aid, trip coordinator and so much more.

In 2010 Ayendai met Adrian LaShaye Nelson. They were married July 18th, 2015.  To their union Aiyanna La’Shae Evans was born.

Ayendai was preceded in death by one sister, Olivia Hailey; grandparents; Wilson (Darnilla) Hailey, Clara Wright, Nancy Evans, Hampton Cribb, Margaret Palmer, Cherben Little and Dorothy Smith.

He leaves to cherish many unforgettable moments and loving memories to his wife, Adrian Nelson-Evans; two daughters, Aiyanna Evans & Aubrei French;  his mother Gloria (Eric), Evans-Little;  father, Andrew Hailey; siblings, Rasheika Stricklin, Stacy (Asia)Stricklin, Andrew (Diamond) Hailey, Jamal Hailey, Lloyd Hailey, Anthony Bagley, Kinney Chandler; step-sister, Elonda Hunter ,Grandparents; Carrie(Ralph)McFall, Marvin(Carrie)Wright; special cousin, Atari (Crystal) Evans, god-mother, Patricia McRae, God Sisters; Canicka Sharpe, Lavon Sharpe, Bernadette Sharpe; special great aunt, Annie Evans; god-son, Dontae Smith; special sister/ best friend, Tamara McBryde(Andre); special brothers/best friends, Pastor JE Smith, Minister Terrell Williams and Minister Jason Quick (Maya); a large host of great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, friends, students and coworkers.
