Angela Watson

Oct 26, 1965 — May 23, 2026

Greensboro

Angela Donnice Watson, lovingly known as Angie, was born on October 26, 1965, in Lexington, North Carolina, with her brother, James Jr, and her parents. She was educated in the High Point school system and attended Allen Jay Preparatory School and Central High School, where she began to shape the life of strength and grace for which she would be remembered.

Angie was employed as a certified nursing assistant at a local nursing home, where she faithfully cared for others. Because sewing was one of her true passions, she later found work in a factory sitting alongside her mother, which she genuinely enjoyed. She also furthered her education by attending Guilford Technical Community College.

Angie met Ulysses Bailey and from their union her beloved son, Marquis, was born. Through their relationship, she also embraced extended family members who became a meaningful part of her life. In times, Marquis brought added joy to her life through his fiancée, Kenya.

From childhood, Angie knew Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and attended church faithfully with her family. Later in life, she worshipped at "Come as You Are Ministry" under the leadership of Pastor Linda Rankin until the ministry changed direction.

She later joined Jesus the Christ Church of the Triad under the leadership of her brother, Bishop Britt, and Evangelist Nashaba Pledger, where her faith continued to sustain and guide her.

As Angie's health began to decline, she knew she could depend on her sister, Celeste Ransome, to be by her side. She found joy in cooking, sewing, gospel music, and the Word of God, and she also has a special love for her cherished cats, Sissy and Sapphire.

On May 25, 2026, after a courageous journey through illness, Angie peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at the Beacon Place at AuthoraCare in Greensboro, North Carolina, with her Bishop by her bedside.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son, Marquis, his fiancée, Kenya, her brother, James Jr (Teresa); her son's father, Ulysses, her and Clarence, her niece, Taylor, her nephews, Jaquan and Jamel, grandnieces and nephews, Avaya, Kaumell, Ari, Kanisha, Kanasia, Ameila, Abigail, Asher, Aliza and a host pf other loving relatives and dear friends.
