Addie Black

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, God dispatched his angel to receive Addie Black home. Addie Pearl Williams Black was welcomed into the world on June 22, 1948, in Lugoff, South Carolina, by her parents, Lawerence Williams and Elizabeth “Burke Murphy Williams. She attended William Penn Highschool. Addie was employed as a personal care aid, providing care to those in need until she was no longer able to work. She loved to sing and worship at the Body of Christ Christian Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She was an outspoken person but was able to develop many long-lasting friendships. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Black; three daughters, Angelia Denise Black, Alisa Laverne Black Pina, and Jennifer Black; five brothers, Lawerence Williams, Benny Williams, Robert Williams, Clyde Williams, and Eddie Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Todd P. Black; three sisters, Ella (Elder Bill) Dumas, and Lillian and Teresa Williams Murvin; brother, Leroy (Jennifer) Williams; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one son-in-law, Richard E. Pina; sisters-in-law, Susie Williams, Hattie Black, Mary Millis, Bettye Timmons, and Gloria McDuffie; two special friends, Rose Walls and Mookie Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
