Ada Titus Walker was born on April 26, 1953, to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Dorothy Titus in High Point, North Carolina. She attended High Point Central High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. Ada was employed by Leggett & Platt before dedicating her life to being a stay-at-home foster parent. In this role, she opened her home and heart to numerous children over the years, providing love, care, and guidance to those in need. She later returned to the workforce and was employed with Shipman Family Homecare in High Point. Ada was also a member of St. Matthews Holiness Church.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Willis Cathey Jr. and Isaiah Walker; one great- granddaughter, Sa’Niyah Titus; one brother, Walter Calvin Titus; two sisters, Senovia Golden and Mamie Titus; one sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Titus; and one niece, Samantha McCullough.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband of 34 years, Charles Walker; her daughters, LaDonna Fuller, KeDra (Kenneth) Rogers, Ethel Walker, Kimbella Walker, and Tonya (Destiny) Walker; and her sons, Lamont Covington, Mark Walker, Dmaris (Tasha) Williams, James Walker, Jarrod Graves, and Payton Brewington. She is also survived by her brother, Samuel Titus; her grandchildren, Solita and Cordarius Cathey, KenDra, Kadance, and Kenadee Rogers, and Arianna and Kala Covington; and her great-grandchildren, Kyndal and Kayson Edwards, Jada Cathey, Shakya Walker, Payton Staten, Renea, Elijah, Michael, and Makala Walker.
Ada is further survived by her aunts, Ella (James) Shelton, Debbie Davis, Doris (Jimmie) Byers, Gwendolyn (Rev. Bobby) Green, Cheryl Tyson, Troy (Carol) Anthony, Ruth Titus, and Shirley Rippy. She also leaves behind nieces who were like daughters—Senovia Titus, Pashonda, and Yvonnia Johnson—and nephews who were like sons—Antrion (Alicia), Terze, and Dewarren (Charlene) Titus and John McCullough—along with her special friends Mother Mary Douglas, Teresa Evans (“Suga”), Karen Foust, and Annie Pearl Rogers her life support, Betty Brown her prayer warrior, honorary daughters Pamela (Harold) Bullock, Donna Jackson and Stephanie O’Neal as well as a host of cousins and friends.
