Ms. Abigail Smith, 50 known to most as "Gail" departed this life on  Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point after a brief  illness.
   
   She was born February 25, 1963 in Dillon, SC to Mr. Sam and Mrs. Eloise McFadden Smith.
   
   Abigail relocated to High Point, NC where she attended William Penn  School.  She was employed with Ritch Face Veneer Company for over 20  years.
   
   Gail was a devoted sister and was a mother to many of her  nieces and nephews.  She was a loving, fun and family oriented person.   She was full of life and an avid NY Giants fan.
   
   She was preceded  in death by her parents, one sister, Ann Carol Coachman; four brothers,  Palmer Smith, Richard Smith, Stoney Smith and Lawrence Lee Smith.
   
   She leaves to cherish precious memories to four sisters, Carolyn  Bethea, Diana Bethea both of Dillon, SC, Mattie (Wilbert) McCall and  Rose Smith of High Point, NC; four brothers, Larry Smith of Dillon, SC,  Carl McFadden Smith, Francis Smith and Roger Smith all of High Point,  NC; two special aunts, Ms. Minnie McFadden of High Point, NC and Ms,.  Wiladean McFadden of Dillon, SC; best friend, Deron "Penguin" Dorsette; a  host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
   
   Funeral  service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at High Point Church at  1pm with Apostle Jerome Dumas, eulogist.  Family visitation will begin  at 12:30pm at the church.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.  A  guestbook is available online at  www.peoplesfuneralserviceandcremation.com.  Professional arrangements  entrusted to People's Funeral & Cremation Services.
